 Big steam thundered in Northwest Indiana over Memorial Day weekend in 2009

The Fort Wayne Historical Society, owner of Nickel Plate Road Berk 765, came to the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum and North Judson's Chesapeake & Indiana Railroad.  The passenger train (and one photo freight) ran 12 mile trips from North Judson to LaCrosse on the former C&O mainline to the delight of hundreds of fans and surprised motorists at countless grade crossings.  In June, more trips are scheduled, so be sure not to miss these trips.  Here's a link to the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum: http://hvrm.railfan.net/  Photo by John Eagan at English Lake, IN on May 23, 2009.
